Regional Branches
The Irish Haemochromatosis Association is keen to establish regional branches of our association. As the number being diagnosed increases due to genetic testing and greater
awareness, it is vital to have support close at hand if it is required.
Furthermore, regional branches are also a necessary means of increasing
awareness of haemochromatosis amongst the medical profession and the public
at large.
Regional branches are already forming in Monaghan, Limerick and Cork.
To contact one of these branches or to start a regional branch in your
own area, please contact Margaret Mullett at Ph: 01-4922705 or by email margaretmullett@ireland.com

The main focus of the support group is to assist and support any new patients with information, and reassurance regarding their illness. The MWHSG aims to highlight the lack of facilities available to sufferers and to promote the awareness of the Irish Haemochromotosis Association within the mid west area. To date a total of 223 posters were mailed to GP within the area advising them of the existence and the contact details of the support group.
The next meeting will take place in Bobby Byrne’s Pub in O 'Connell Ave Limerick on the 16th April 2007. All are welcome to attend .
